Cairo, January 29th: under the auspices of the Tunisian Publishers Union, and on the sidelines of Cairo 43rd International Book Fair, Al Manhal held a workshop about e-publishing and Al Manhal's Pricing Model for publishers. The workshop was attended by many publishing house representatives, In addition to a number of librarians and interested parties.

The workshop, which was launched by Mr. Nouri Obaid the head of the Tunisian Publishers Union, covered a brief overview about e-publishing, Al Manhal's pricing model, profit distribution techniques and a discussion about the latest developments and prospects in the e-publishing sector.
Mr. Nouri Obaid started by talking about the importance of establishing such workshops that also play a vital role in supporting the publishing industry. Before answering questions, Mr. Obaid expressed his hope that this workshop should benefit publishers and refine their experience in order to keep pace with the global e-publishing.
The workshop was managed by Mr. Mohamad Shafi, Al Manhal's Content Development Manager, where he started by greeting Tunisians and Egyptians for their heroic revolutions. Followed by, Mr. Mohamad Baghdadi, Al Manhal's CEO, speech where he thanked the Tunisian Publishers Union for patronizing the workshop. He also talked about the importance of e-publishing and the experience he gained from his contribution in establishing ebrary, the world’s pioneering e-book platform. In addition, he talked about the efficiency of e-publishing in terms of cost, ease of searching and rapid spreading.
During the workshop, Mr. Mohamad Abed Rabo, Al Manhal's Public Relations Executive, stressed on the importance of e-publishing for Arabic publishers, in the terms of spreading the Arabic culture to the whole world in a practical and efficient way. He also pointed out how Al Manhal facilitates for the publishers entering the e-publishing industry, because it held on its shoulders the utilization of all the available techniques in order to arabize the most powerful search.
