Amman, May 28th: Al Manhal, the only full-text searchable platform for Arabic content, has signed a publishing agreement with the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought, an international Islamic non-governmental, independent institute based in The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and whose Chair of the Board of Trustees is HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad.

The agreement enables Al Manhal to publish and distribute the organizations content on its platform through the databases of Al Manhal to assist the requirements of researchers and users at universities and research institutes; regionally and globally, with the aim of providing high quality eServices to meet the needs of a wide range of researchers. Both sides stressed their keenness and commitment to support the project to keep up with developments and new technologies in the world of Arabic electronic publishing.

The purpose of the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is to serve Islam and humanity at large. Among its objectives are: promoting awareness of Islam and Islamic thought, rectifying unsound ideas and misconceptions about Islam, highlighting the Islamic intellectual contribution and its impact on human civilization, deepening the dialogue and fostering cooperation between Muslim scholars, research centres, institutes, academic entities and universities in accordance with the objectives of the Institute.

The agreement also included publishing the content of The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre (RISSC) which is an independent research entity affiliated with The Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. The primary goal of The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre is to protect, preserve and propagate traditional, orthodox, ‘moderate’ Islam as defined by the international Islamic Consensus.
