Cairo, January 29th :Cairo Book Fair, which was held on the 29th of January 2012 until the 7th of February 2012, was launched by the Egyptian Cultural Minister, Dr Shakir Abdul Hameed & the Tunisian Cultural Minister Mr. Mahdi Mabrouk. The book fair was launched with a remarkable participation from Al Manhal. Hence, Al Manhal's participation in the book fair was based on its belief that the importance of the revitalization of Cairo Book Fair and the contribution to keep it one of the most prominent cultural monuments in the Arab world.

Al Manhal was represented in the Book Fair by Mr. Mohamad Baghdadi, Al Manhal's CEO, Mr. Mohamad Shafi, content development manager, Mr. Mohamad Abd Rabo, Regional Public Relations Executive, Mr. Ahmed Amin Publishers Relations Manager and Mr. Tariq Kahwaji Sales Manager of TechKnowledge.

 In Fact, a large number of publishers participated in this session of Cairo Book Fair. There was 745 Arabic and foreign publisher from 29 countries, 17 of which are Arab countries and 12 are foreign countries.

 Moreover, Al Manhal's role was not only limited to the participation in the book fair, it also spread into making a workshop about e-publishing by collaborating with the book fair's guest of owner country, Tunisia.

On the sidelines of the book fair, Al Manhal signed more than 13 e-publishing contracts with a variety of publishing houses from the Arab World.

The publishers participating in the fair commended this participation, and praised the role of Al-Manhal in creating the first digital database for Arabic content. The publishers were briefed on the services provided by Al-Manhal for partner publishers and users, in addition to the Digital Rights Management (DRM) for authors and researchers.
